29 year old I.T. professional and former state BMX champion turned mountain biker, seeks 2010 Stumpjumper FSR for long flowing single trail, see-saws, north shore and epic adventures.
What am I on about you may be asking? Well the nice people over at Specialized are holding a competition to “win” a 2010 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR and become a part of their “Trail Crew”. You would of seen a post earlier about it on this blog.
Now I could talk about how much I ride, how many bikes I have or how totally awesome my riding adventures are, but all those are freely available to read on my blog, my facebook page and my twitter account. So to make my entry unique (or until someone copies me), I have written a song called “Stumpjumper”.
“StumpJumper” (Sung to the tune of “Down Under” by Men At Work)
Travelling on a fried-out pushie
On a single trail, head full of zombies
I met a strange lady, she made me nervous
She looked at my bike and gave me a serve,
And she said,
Would you like to win a Stumpjumper?
They make women glow and men wonder?
Cant you hear, cant you hear that Stumpjumper?
You better not run, if you want to win a Stumpjumper.
Buying headsets from a man in Brussels
He was six foot four and full of muscles
I said, do you speak-a my language?
He just smiled and showed me a Specialized work bench.
And he said,
I come from a land down under
Where beer does flow and men chunder
Cant you hear, cant you hear the Stumpjumper?
You better not run, if you want to win a Stumpjumper.
Looking at bikes in Bombay
With slack shocks and nowhere to play
I said to the man, are you trying to tempt me
Because I come from the land of plenty?
And he said,
Oh! do you come from a land of Stumpjumpers?
Where women glow and men wonder?
Cant you hear, cant you hear that Stumpjumper?
You better not run, you have just won a Stumpjumper,
You better not run, you have just won a Stumpjumper.
So that’s pretty much my entry. Hope you like it.
